Facing south, this is a residence as well as a kindergarten. The Neo humanist philosophy of the Centre is based on ideas of love for each other and in every human action we take. With that in mind the garden was refurbished with a more tropical Asian style reflecting the Ananda Marga principles.
Plants include cannas (Canna phasion ‘Tropicanna’), Turf Lily (Liriope muscari ‘Evergreen Giant’), sedums (Sedum spectabile ‘Autumn Joy)’, bergenias (Bergenia cordifolia rubra) and the tree Forest Pansy (Cercis Canadensis) with its heart shaped leaf and lovely autumnal colour. The shrub Orange Jessamine (Murraya paniculata) was retained and strategically pruned, with a Lilly Pilly (Syzygium australe ‘Orange Twist’) hedge that will fill out to provide a lush screen. Creeping Booblialla (Myoporum parvifolium) and Fern-leaf Banksia (Banksia blechnifolia )both Australian natives were used as ground covers.
